Annual Meeting Important information

AALSIA members and prospective members:

As you all must know by now this has been a very unusual start to our season. However, we have made some plans that we would like to share with you:

  1. We will be putting tents up this Sunday (June 28) beginning at 10AM. If you are available please stop down and help!

  2. We are in the process of tying up loose ends with boats. Most boat owners have already signed up using the form available on website and have shown copies of their insurance and registration (THANKS!). If you have not done this, and if you plan on having your boat either stored at beach or docked or moored you must do so prior to our Annual General Meeting on July 1. We understand that boat registration in Massachusetts has been made more difficult this year due to Covid, but if you have indeed had difficulty please contact us.

If you have not submitted this information and had it approved by the annual meeting on July 1 you will not be able to remain/become a member of AALSIA for this year unless boat/trailer are removed. If information is not approved and boat/trailer is not removed, your boat/trailer will be removed by AALSIA at owner’s expense.

  3. The annual meeting will be held Wednesday, July 1 in the evening. You are encouraged to follow safety precautions, wear a mask, and social distance. The schedule is as follows:
    1. All new members or folks who have not been registered in the past should be at beach between 5:30 and 6:00.
    2. All other members are to come to beach after 6 for registration. You should go to the picnic table for your address, since we are separating various sections of the neighborhood so as to lower the number of people at any one location.
    3. After the registration is completed we will have a brief meeting as usual, and members are encouraged to stay for this as well, since we will be voting for Board of Directors.

You should make sure to download, print, and fill out forms and have checks already filled out (Forms are available on our website https://aalsia.org/aalsia-important-documents/. If you have difficulty printing forms please let us know and we will get forms to you. We are doing this in order to expedite the registration process.

If you have questions or information you would like brought up at the meeting please fill out the contact form on our website in advance, again this is to lessen the possibility of transmission of Covid.

Thanks all! The beach has been really busy this summer. We have always known we have a gem with the beach-a really special place, and in these trying times it has become even more important to us.

AALSIA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020

AALSIA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2020

To all AALSIA members and prospective members:

As most of you know this is the time for our Annual General Meeting and membership sign-up. Normally we would hold the annual meeting at the beach on or about the last Sunday in June and take care of dues, boat and trailer sign-ups, a brief review of the past year including social events, a treasurer’s report, voting for Board of Director positions, and just a general welcoming to the summer season.

This year, as we all know, everything will have to be different due to the pandemic.

We will be sending out a general newsletter shortly but in order to make sure we take care of the most pressing issues, please be advised that we will be making several (hopefully one-time!) changes to our procedures.

In order to download necessary documents please go to https://aalsia.org/aalsia-important-documents/ . Please print and fill out the form(s) which are applicable. If you have any questions use the Contact Form.

  1. Boat and trailer owners MUST fill out form, include proof of insurance and registration. You should then meet with Bowen Jackson this Friday evening (June 19) between 6 – 7PM at the beach and get signed-off. This must be done prior to renewing or getting membership for 2020-2019. If you are unable to either meet at that time or have not received registration from the state please contact Bowen and make arrangements.
  2. During the following week we will be meeting at scheduled times to take care of all membership dues for this year. Information will be printed at various places around the neighborhood along with a second email.
  3. We will try to have the Annual General Meeting early July and will notify everyone in advance. This of course depends on guidance from the state and City of Amesbury. We will conduct our annual Board of Director voting at that time as well and it looks like there may be at least two vacancies.

We hope everyone is well and enjoying the beautiful weather we have been experiencing down at the beach

If you have any questions you are welcome to call me (978-764-6308) or use the Contact Form located on our website.
